My baby bro (by 2 minutes) is the same way. Last weekend I taught him scrambled eggs. We covered water boiling at Christmas. He's always bitching me out though saying I took all the kitchen skills in the womb. I just throw stuff into a pot and it usually comes out decent bordering on amazing. He couldn't even cut a baguette without seriously injuring himself. How does one need 4 stitches from a bread knife?

He ruined the baguette too which was the real offence.
