Right okay, I know nothing about Sherlock the film, and I've only watched 10 minutes of the BBC series. But I'm reading this because you wrote it. And it works leik whoa. Just curious, did you base these characters on RDJ & Jude Law, or Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman?
One nitpick my student-of-medicine-by-day persona needs to point out for my mental peace: a second degree burn to the face? Way too serious to be mostly shrugged off as Holmes does, especially because of the hellish pain that would be caused as nerve endings become exposed to air (unless its a partial or full thickness second-degree, which burns part or most of the nerve). This is not something to be treated on an outpatient, or even inpatient basis in most hospitals. It warrants transfer to a burn center.
A first degree burn would be more reasonable (i.e. at the severity level of a sunburn). Even that is quite painful, as most people know by experience. Of course, a third degree burn is painless, but you don't really have skin left there.
I...really identify with your Watson, in many ways.
One thing
