OMG, this is perfect. The backstory is entirely believable, especially about Mal and Arthur's fondness for her. I just saw the film for the second time (and loved it every bit as much), and you've got the voices exactly right. A few favorite lines:
a neat little frown he has spent ages perfecting
"Well," he says instead, raising his eyebrow, "this is predictable."
a smirk so over-the-top that it gives Arthur a headache
and finally, most wonderfully,
