Right, so, iiiiiit's a bit of a blizzard up in Cleveland today, and I am mildly (read: very) snowed in. It's sad because I want coffee! But it's happy because I don't want to put on pants, so.

In between trying to do my job from my house, which would limit my ability to leave even if I *could* leave, I am working on fic and finding hilarious/delicious/etc things on the internet. So here, have some stuff:

1. THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT WORKING AT A BOOKSTORE WAS LIKE (thanks, [livejournal.com profile] arineat, I would never have seen this without you and IT BRIGHTENED MY DAY):

2. Alex. Alex. [livejournal.com profile] angelgazing should never have showed me this, because...because OH MY GOD, ALEX, HOW ARE YOU SO ATTRACTIVE:

3. Okay, this is a photo from the Smitten Kitchen website. It is the photo that goes along with the recipe for peanut butter Nutella. Guys, it is the great tragedy of my life that I am allergic to dairy and have never been able to try Nutella, but this--I CAN MAKE THIS, I AM GOING TO EAT THIS, LOOK HOW GOOD THIS FUCKING LOOKS:

HHHHHHNG, THE STIRRINGS IN MY LOINS FOR THIS ARE EVEN GREATER THAN THEY WERE FOR ALEX, AND THAT IS SAYING SOMETHING. PEANUT BUTTER AND CHOCOLATE OH MY FUCKING GOD.

OKAY, BACK TO WORK NOW. Hope you all are having fabulous days ♥

I wish I had an excuse to not wear pants...I have the most ridiculous hair when I wake up JUST LET ME BE. XD but I have no excuse...

Alex is godly. That angle makes him even more epic.

SMITTEN KITCHEN!! I am in love love love with that site. Everytime I feel sad I pretend I will have time to bake and peruse that site of utter amazing. I want to make crescent jam rolls... Have you seen them?

Oh, man, I have morning hair like you would not believe, DO NOT EVEN WORRY ABOUT IT. I got to the point with one of my exes where I had to wear a bandana to bed because otherwise he'd wake up in the middle of the night with my hair IN HIS FACE, so I feel you on that.

And, um, yes, I have seen the crescent jam rolls. I have pretty much seen...everything on that site...no I'm not obsessed why do you ask....

Mis-read Smitten Kitchen as Smitten Kitten. I cannot tell you how disappointed I am that that delicious looking chocolate, peanut butter and what looks like a bit of baguette? does not involve kitten chefs in any way. :(

Hell yeah, working from home!

it clearly says kitten

Mis-read Smitten Kitchen as Smitten Kitten.

I was so sure that it actually said Kitten that I went back to point and laugh. I ended up pointing and laughing at me instead, 'cause I didn't even question why a site called Smitten Kitten would have peanutella recipes. Hey, it smote the heck out of me. I'm 100% smitten.

HEE. And of course, looking at that Ostrich macro my first thought was, Oh, the title they're looking for is the first installment of Diana Gabaldron's Outlander series, of course! You'll find it in fiction with the GABs.

Because there ARE no other books with red covers when it comes to patron requests, Friend in Book Retail assures me.

LOL, SO TRUE. This actually happened to me several times in the two years I worked for The Bookshop. It was hilarious, watching my colleague do a rather accurate impression of a fish out of water.

HOMG, ALEX. ALEEEEEX. I am printing that picture and cellotaping it to my bedframe. Waking up in the morning might not be quite so traumatic if it was to his face! <3

b) I too have had this happen, AND FOR SOME REASON IT IS ALWAYS RED COVERS, I DON'T UNDERSTAND

c) You know what would decrease the trauma in my life is you writing that peanutella thing

I have worked in an engineering library as a volunteer, so I would like you to imagine that macro + 80 year old men + in-depth mining vocabulary + records from the 1970's. What I know about engineering would be too small for a stamp.

I finally tore my eyes from the pretty man and looked at the peanutella...and the recipe

And I can't help but wonder...would this work with hazelnuts? And some Frangelico? And I wonder if Godiva liquor has any dairy in it - because I'd like substitute some of the cocoa with that.

Hmmm...need to make a few stops tonight. Whole Paycheck and Bottle Bargains, here I come.

(And terribly sorry about the weather...it's been in the mid '40s here...and pouring rain. 10 degrees colder, and we'd have 2 feet of snow already. Just sayin')

I hate you. I wasn't going to eat Nutella. And then I saw your post. And the picture. And I went 'huh, Nutella'. So I went looking for the one we usually have at home. And it's GONE. The one time I want Nutella there ISN'T ANY. And I can't go out and buy some because I HAVE NO MONEY. So. I'm going to stare obsessively at that picture for the next hour and GRUMBLE.
